Satisficing - I learned it the hard way.

I’ve had to take risks and be fearless. When you are leading transformation, there is no perfect solution. That realization made me a big fan of the word “satisficing” - a mashup of “satisfactory” and “sufficing.”

Introduced by Herbert A Simon in 1956, the pragmatism of this word has helped me navigate difficult situations and decisions with a level-headedness. It has helped me simplify unnecessary complexity of today’s world in situations where a near term solution was needed. At the same time, it helped me put in place a building block for my next step towards betterment.
